Friday 1st September - the day we depart for Brisbane Australia for the next leg of our adventure. Shipping our bikes across the Pacific was a tall order. Infact, it had been refused at the first time of asking.
With a little research and plenty of motivation, we built up a portfolio of letters of support from various organizations to help with our project.
Today we dropped in to visit Justina and Sam at the Disability Alliance of British Columbia in Vancouver to pay our respects and let them know just how helpful they've been. DABC provide many services, mainly; advocacy for people with disabilities in the province, and assistance with obtaining suitable accommodation.
They are somewhat the equivalent to IWA in this region of Canada. It was a pleasure to meet some of their staff today. Thanks a bunch guys and keep up the great work!!
After a little stroll around town, we found the BC Place where Guns n Rose's and Royal Blood are due to play this evening, pity..🤘 Onwards to Brisbane for the next phase of our adventure. ️ JG: goo.gl/19oYad
Another blast from the past, picture appeared in The Northern Echo newspaper yesterday.
Quite a few years ago when I was approx 14yrs old (1986) at Darlington Amateur Boxing Club.
Bonus points if you can pick me in the lineup! #northernecho#darlingtonABC#DABC#BOXING#blastfromthepast
